nother ? please

i have a deere 4020 about 90 hp will that pull a 6 row cultivator and a 20 shank chisel plow set about 4 inches deep? you probably can tell im new at this, just trying to put in some food plots, dont hold that against me, if i could be a big crop farmer i would, god just didnt plan that for me, but at least i do get to play in the dirt some

well thats what the farmer told me, i thought it seemed big for chisel plow, i know my 6 row cultivator has smaller tines on it and in a different pattern than the chisel plow, if it is a field cultivator can my tractor pull it?

In my ground, I cultivated 6 rows 30 with my MF-135 though it had troubles lifting that much cultivator after a while. It was no load for my 4020 but the 4020 had a lot more ground clearance.

I have a 22' field cultivator shanks every 6" probably. When then wings folded out to full width my 4020 with worn 18.4-34 tires digs holes, with the wings folded up to make it about 14.5' my 4020 pulls it fine. That would be 28 shanks probably if on 6" centers, but they could be on wider centers with wider shovels.

20 shanks on 9" centers would be 15' wide. Your 4020 should pull it OK going 4 or 5" deep, not going 16" deep.

2 different field cultivators; 1st one might be called a spring-tooth harrow; depending on where you live

You should be able to pull a 20-tine field cultivator; a 20-shank chisel; no way.

ok it seems i have a spring toothed harrow from what i can tell in picture, my 6 row cultivator looks like the other cultivator only alittle bigger, thanks guys
