Gremlins bit me

1960 Ford 621. Digging up a septic tank. Tractor running great. Got dark. Went home. Next morning tractor ran on three cylinders. No compression #3. Bent push rod on intake valve. Valve stuck closed.

The push rod was totally plugged. The valve cover was dry inside instead of covered with oil.

Engine normally holds 40 psi oil pressure.

My book indicates that oil flows from the lifter through the push rod and through the rocker arm to the valve.

Any comments from BTDT would be appreciated.
