Need a little help getting parts to Lanse for his B project. Need to keep him busy and out of trouble. :)^D

We need to get the block, head, and rocker arms from Edon, Ohio south to Brookville, Ohio.

Edon is just south of the Ohio Turnpike on 49. I can watch people pay there toll from my office. It is going to be some time before I can get it to him myself.

Brookville is just north west of Dayton, close to I 70.

buy another tractor and try to do the same. If it dont work, i'll just have to get another to try again :)

Should have said last exit before Indiana. Or the exit in between the Indiana and Ohio toll gates. (We call it mid toll) Edon is five miles south of that and two miles east of the Indiana state line. My farm and factory borders the Ohio Turn Pike at the three mile stick. I live 3 miles south of Edon on 49.

Maybe Lanse should wait until you can bring it? He should at least have a really good mechanic install that work of art. Would hate it if something went wrong because it wasn't installed properly. Lanse could watch/help and pay real close attention to how it's done. Would be a good way for him to learn the proper way of doing things. Dave

DickL I plan on going to Bloomington IN from Cleveland next weekend with truck and trailer.Looking at mapquest it is about 1/2 hour greater distance going west 80 then south 69 on my way there than it would be going east 70 then north 71 back.Seeing as you have alot more time into the job it wouldn't be much trouble taking the long way.
Plenty of room, going down empty and coming back with only a Massey135 and an implement or 2

I Had planned to do that but things are not working out here in the short run.

I would like him to get a sleeve and piston kit. I am betting that when he sticks the new rings down in the sleeves that you will be able to stick part of a hot dog between the ends of the rings. With the crank shot and way under size and the pistons being stuck in. It would be a real stroke of luck if you could make a new set of rings work correctly in the old sleeves.

That would be great.
We should be able to work it out and I could meet you at the exit to save you a few miles. Burger King and Subway just north of the exit within sight. Flying J has a big tuck lot back of them. When the State gets there crap together so the water tower can go up Flying J will start building. Or so the story goes.

My first that came to my mind when I viewed the (BLUE and RED) was is this paint that will dissolve and cause lube problem. Please explain. Maybe just for show. CENTAUR

Probably can't help much this time, but I have a son in Wilder, KY and live south of Coldwater, MI. I go that way several times a year, but not now until fall. Lety me know if something else comes up.
P.S. I grew up on an Allis B--great little gutty tractor.
Paul

Anyone have a Lexan valve cover for that so we can keep an eye on those pretty rockers and springs. Never seen anything like that before in an engine ?
