this might be a little off topic but im getting kind of desperate i have neuropathy in my feet its like having bruises on the bottom of your feet all the time. had surgery done went in and cut a nerve to deaden the pain in the right foot now the left one hurts as bad as the right one. i wear redwing boots with the redwing insoles in them i work on concrete and asphalt walk ways about 10/12 hours a day just because the job pays really well but dont know how much longer i can do it i am only 52 yrs old just thought maybe someone knew of a better boot that might give me more cushion thanks RICK

I have a similar problem. I have two of the center toes on both feet are numb and sometimes they are full of needles on the sole side. The foot doctor said I have the nerves between the toes pinched and aggravated. He has me using arch supports and it has helped some. Next step is cortisone shots.

I don't think you will find a finer boot than Red Wing..I use Model 952 uninsulated with Dr Shoals gell inserts..Keeps my dogs happy..

I am 53, went thru some similar problems a few years ago. The bad news: my docs (3) told me that the human foot was not designed to spend 8,10, 12 hours on concrete. Shoes can help a little, but ya need to get off your feet at every opportunity. Also, more bad news: Lose weight! your feet wern't designed to support a Budweiser belly. I lost weight, sit on my butt as often as I can, and take my shoes and socks off at lunch, let my digits air out. Then I change into clean, dry socks. That helps a lot. What kind of work do you do?

I wore Red Wings for at least 30 years then switched to Doc Martens. They have much more cushion and wear like iron. The best boots I've ever worn by far!

i wear red wings too i found a set of inserts to put in them called "luxis" there made in germany, sure help, the number on the catalog i got with them is 1-800-628-4693,might give them a try

Some years ago at the tender age of 44 I started to have a lot of foot problems from being on them for hours at a time. I ended up going to a podiatrist who after many visits fitted me with plastic inserts to put into the shoes and boots. They worked so good I thought I had died and gone to heaven. After wearing them for 12 years I didn't need them any more. Nuff said Henry

Check out the Lehigh boots we wore their safety toe boots for over 30 years never had any problems with my feet. I was on concrete most of those years. Hal

Look at these.. If you don't want steel toe just make sure they are FOOTRESTS....

I worked in a Railroad locomotive repair shop,
walking on concrete , and found that REDWINGS
would wear forever, but were the most uncomfort-
able on the feet. I tried many brands, but found
WOLVERINE, were best for me!

try rolling a golf ball around under your foot. will hurt real bad when you first try it. If you hear a crunching sound and feel like something is cracking then it will help you. Claim it is calcium deposits in the muscles not letting the muscles move right.
I have no feeling in my feet due to nerve damage from diabiates and still do this from time to time. started back when I could still feel it and it really hurt, now nothing. break toes, get bigg blisters etc no pain, not good

I have had all of the foot problems also. I now have to wear good correct fitting shoes with inserts, (arch supports). My work boots are made by CAROINA and do not need inserts. My feet feel much better than before. I can now walk.

I wear $10 canvas shoes from Wally World make life a lot better and cheaper but then i have a high arch and can wear anything or nothing all day.

I had mega problems with safety shoes and concrete until I purchased a pair of ROCKY safety shoes. They did the trick. I also got them 1/2 size larger than my regular shoe size.
No more cramped toes, no foot pain what so ever, even after 12 or more hours on the concrete.
