Gary, that is absolutely pitiful I feel so bad for those people they're saying this flooding has surpassed the record set in 1929. Well one thing is the worst seems to bring out the best in everyone. God Bless them all! CT

480 square blocks of Cedar Rapids flooded, 100 homes here in Vinton. My brother's building in CR had 6 ft of water on the first floor. We were lucky here. Just a wet basement that cost us our carpet and probably some of the sheet rock. Two days running on the genny, but power is back on now with some restrictions. Highway 150 north of town is washed out for about 2 miles.

One lady was found dead in CR. She may have survived if help could have got to her sooner.

She had medical problems is all that was said.
