Propane consumption rate..................................

Walked past the propane tanks and noticed the 420lb valved into the pool heater had condensation on it, hmmmmm.
Opened pool fence door and wondered what? Put my hand in the water to get the thermometer and had a pretty good idea. Thermometer read 106F.
As soon as I opened the pool fence door one could feel the wave of heat.
Had the tanks filled on Monday morning and by Wed mid afternoon had used approx 60 gallons of LP.......................
Found the temp control knob cranked all the way around and right over the "max" notch. They had to have used both hands to bust it that well.
Well d*m it, if you don"t know, don"t guess, reef on something and break it.Then run away and hope nobody notices. Just ask a question if you don"t know.
Rounded up wife and kids for an explanation. Couldn"t get a straight answer as it seemed to be somebody else"s fault.

Must of been the propane delivery guy ?

I do have to go give my tank bleed off valve an extra tweek about everytime after they leave. They like them to just seep off a wee bit as it makes them more business.

Oh by the way we will all stop over for a hot tub/pool party. LOL

when i came through town around 1:30 PM today the bank sign said it was 104 degrees....

My pool thermometer said it was 88, which aint refreshing one freakn bit.... I sure wont be by i am sick of the heat...

I would rather be cold than hot. You can put more clothes on and stay warm. you cant take your clothes off and stay cool.

You know what the perfect pool temperature for me is? OH my gosh, 78 degrees is totally perfect. I'd be out in the field all day, and then i'll go to my cousin's pool and dive the h*ll on in. I've done that every day now since it has been well over a hundred degrees out here.

Been high 70smid 80s last 2 wks here in Maine.2 days ago got to a sweltering 98 though.Been haying 1st crop to beat the dickens, perfect except for an occasional thunderboomer in the evening. Tuckerd out,Hoss

Sounds like the thermostat in the house everytime I turn my back.

106F, I only keep the hot tub at 99.

But I prefer just to jump in the pond in the summer. On a hot day the top 2 feet of water is like a bath. If you really want to cold down, you have to dive down in the deep end.

If your place is like mine, it must be the thermostat, cause "no one touched it". Yet it continually creeps up from 69 to 74 in the winter.

In one house I pulled the thermostat cover then drilled a hole through the body & into the wall. Then turned in a screw to limit the upward travel of the stat lever.
Best solution however is the decoy. Leave the origional stat in place and let the wife and kids tinker with it. Purchase and install a 2nd stat located only where you know, then wire it to the hvac system.

Good idea, that will be my next move. Having geo-thermal its recovery rate is a little slower than LP or NG. So I know when she has turned it up the heat pump will run for 3 hours straight.

Maybe one of the fingerprint recognition keypads would work too!
