For anyone interested in the speculation and/or manipulation theories of oil prices, there're two nice little pieces on engdahl.oilgeopolitics.net (the 5-2 and 5-21-08 pieces)...
Then for a little humor, try Jay Hancock's piece on the Baltimore Sun site " ...new ZZZ+ rating for American economy...

It's like the perfect storm of stupidity. Regardless of stupid and bad decisions, I still think there was a lot of criminal activity.
 
Yes,thats a good start on whats wrong.Now why isnt this on CNN,FOX,MSNBC,and others,I wonder?Hmmm,looks like some more things are abused too,such as the news media.This does not even mention Haliburton and the trillions ripped off from American tax dollars,or that Cheney is still running it,a clear conflict of interest.Yeah,its about time somebody had guts enough to tell about the oil at least.Especially the part about T.Boone Pickens who is making a bundle off of futures.Ha,and he says future trading"doesnt have anything to do with it"there goes his credibility.It really is sad that people will do this stuff,especially if they are already rich.Good article.
 
There is no stupid anywhere that I saw?No perfect storm,just criminal activity.I dont know what you are talking about,its plain as day,we are being ripped off by Speculators and they are responsible for at least 60% of the price of oil being too high,that would put it at a real price of 62 dollars a barrel when its at 130 a barrel.Its all criminal activity,and it was sure"convenient"that laws were changed in 2006 to let this happen.That sort of points to who the criminals are.nnalert again,this time in the highest positions.Also there is no"shortage"demand is falling,and just across the board thievery.China is growing at 500,000 barrels this year,nothing to upset the world.the only storm there is here is a storm of lies coming from Washington DC.
 
Poor Trucker40 has no idea how investments, stockmarket, capitalism etc works.
Only way he know show make good bucks is to sue, win the lottery, inherite or steal.
Trucker 40 until a couple of days ago didn"t even know the increase in pump price was due to the price per barrel the oil companies are paying. He thought oil companies where making an extra dollar of pure profit per gallon sold.
Trucker40. Maybe you could talk to some Texans and have them cut the price of crude to $40.00 to help you out.
 
Bob Ferrel,Buick and Deere,didnt even read it did you?Both of you are somehow elected to follow me around and try to discredit me huh?Well all anybody has to do is read the article,it explains itsself,especially if you read all of it.To go with it there is a real interesting one about a 2 star General doing an investigation on stealing by defense contractors on Jeff Renses website among others.Personal attack away,I have nothing to do for 30 minutes,after that,I wont waste any more time on you.Either you all work for oil companies or Speculators,and I am about tired of your mouths.But go ahead and run them some more,the worse you look the happier I am.
 
Lets see 62 dollars a barrel,then a dollar is only worth 50 cents if that to a British pound makes oil at 31 real dollars a barrel if it werent for Speculators causing the price to go up on a fake shortage caused by a 2006 change in the trading law that allows future stock to be counted as real.
I dont care what Buick and Deere says,or Bob Ferrel either,or anybody else for that matter,this is stealing from American citizens,and other people too as they do the same thing with grain.Criminal behavior,not much to understand about it.
 
Doesn"t take much to discredit ol Trucker40.He does it well enough on his own.
Trucker40 wouldn"t mind if he had some money invested in the market and was making some bucks.
Or if he had some oil wells and was now getting $135 instead of $35 per barrel.
Good to know if Trucker40 owned some oil wells he would do the right thing and still sell his oil to his fellow Americans for $35/barrel. Instead of robbing them at $135/barrel.
 
Thats not much,I expected more from you.The more you talk the more you look like a crook,keep it coming!You probably already rich,and you want them oil prices to go higher,while the dollar goes lower and destroys our country/way of life.Yeah run that mouth!
 
Also if the price of oil goes up per barrel,and the dollar goes down in value,just how is it that you are making money?Oh,I forgot,Buick and Deere is from Canada maybe.That would mean that he doesnt care if our economy is busted,and dont care how high oil goes,cause he already pays an inflated price in Canada,eh?That makes him a genious on how the USA stock market works too,eh.

That"s thinking like a poor person. It justifies your being lazy and making poor money management choices.
 
Stock market is Internation or have you noticed there a world beyound the US border?
How about your own countrymen selling oil $135/gallon. Should they be forced to sell for $35/gallon?
 
On Jeff Rense website the article Exposing Bush Administration Corruption by Stephen Lendman is a good article to read.Once a person sees that,and that it could be very well whats going on,my own countrymen are capable of anything.Not everybody will put up with this though.If 300 million people find out about this before the election,there will be He!! to pay in November.The big problem for us today is that the news media wont report any real news.Then it goes down the line from there.This stock market stuff,while bad,is not the worst thing going on right now.The worst thing is the 3 or more trillion tax dollars that cannot be tracked.Surely all of them arent illigitimate?Are they?If they are then my fellow countrymen,lots of them,are either misled,or crooks themselves.Most people are working people and dont have the money or opportunity to be big crooks like that.Im sure they would have lots to say about ripping 100 dollars a barrel off for the price of oil,and other stuff,if they were told the truth.As far as the globalization you seem so obsessed with,its going to fail.You dont need to believe anything I say,but I am telling you that globalization is doomed from the start,and I am only using one thing as an authority,The Bible.Im no hard shell or big time bible thumping Christian,no offense to anybody that is.I believe in God however,and the Bible I read talks about a time,still in the future,when people try and globalize the Earth and it takes the Return of God to fix it.Varying opinions on how it gets fixed,but most involve a fair amount of punishment to people and those that want to be like them,of ones that would rip off their fellow countrymen to the tune of 100 dollars a barrel for oil.Believe or not,its written in the book,and also others,that lots of punishment type things happen in those times,and if these crooks could figure that out,might want to change their ways,and maybe even prevent the whole thing from happening,at least to them.

You act like you're getting rich off the high oil prices. Unless your vehicles are burning strait crude your paying the high prices of everything like the rest of us. So you think the few dollars profit pays for all that gas while you're doing your gov cheese job.

What is a government cheese job. It certainly isn"t what I do. I"ve been through places today where you would tremble like a scared child.
Don"t like the price of fuel? Burn less or earn more to pay for the privilege. Burning fuel is not a right such as air & food.

The topic of conversion is oil, not one world government. The concept you missed is the fact there is a whole world that exists beyond the US.Stocks in companies are bought and sold around the world 24hr per day.
How exactly are you surprised with corruption? Since the dawn of recorded time every government and institution of power have been filled with corruption, greed & false truths.

Whether you're an independent contractor or actually work for the gov, it's gov cheese. Their minimum wage is about twice the public one.

You are going to have to explain yourself better.How is a utility company government cheese? What is "cheese"?
For what it's worth it costs me money to raise crop and sell livestock.
 
What?Buick And Deere you either invest in oil stocks,or work for the government.Niether gives you the right to cause people in the world pain,hunger,and worse.It doesnt give you a right to be a creep either.If this country were always so corrupt,and its not,just a few that run it,then it wouldnt have lasted 20 years much less 200.Many have fought to keep it from being corrupt.Anything to try and distract people from the truth is the game you play.Im sorry,to everybody else that reads these posts.I have no way of knowing what these creeps will do.They sure seem worried.This was good information,dont let the creeps distract anybody.I dont know if people that have tractors and get on this website can do anything about this all,I sure hope so.I wrote my Representative and Senator just last night about this.It could be a month or more before I get a reply,and just maybe no answer at all.The only thing to do is get congress to fix that trading loophole.Some"newsmen"say that the markets have more power than the government.That doesnt give newsmen the right not to print the news.When they dont print the news,it causes things like this.Then when somebody finally prints the news,if the creeps are any indication,they sure dont want you reading this information.Markets dont have more power than government,but they can buy enough government to get what they want done,if they can steal enough money to buy it.I think 300 million Americans are stronger than some thieves stealing from them with the market.So somebody needs to tell all 300 million of us who is doing this,how its being done,where its being done,and who is getting rich from it.Globalization is not good for any country,its descent into He!!.Its speculators,140 members of Congress are reaping profits from it,on both sides,also warmongers are stealing tax dollars off of this War at a rate that is unheard of,even for warmongers.Come on creeps,try and discredit that.

How are we selling power at 9.25 cents per KW when private comapnies are charging more than that in the US?

You have stated congress, the senate, the whitehouse and state officials are greedy and in on government waste and pocket stuffing. How is writing your Representative and Senator going to change anything? Any chance they have received "high fuel price" letters from anybody else recently? Any chance any of these officials have vehicles of their own they fill at the pumps?

Get some facts trucker40. Until last week you thought the oil companies were netting an extra dollar+ per gallon of pure profit. This week you just discovered where and how much the US produces and imports crude from. Much to your surprise the middle east doesn"t rate as you thought.
Again you are just angry that you see others profitting from their planning and discipline. And you are caught living to the very edge of your income on lifestyle with an increase in fuel costs. And yet your fuel prices are among the lowest in the world. And US fuel comsumption is among the highest per person in the world. How do you justify having it both ways? It"s called supply and demand.

You seem to intend well but have an odd way of expressing yourself.And you believe in your cause, sticking with it despite setbacks.
If we can get you "lined up" and "on course" in the proper direction. You could have some positive influence.
