Are you getting any of that lovely rain. I think my wife just got some south of Perry . I was looking at the radar and its close. She says all she does is water her garden everyday. I told her to wash her truck that usually works. LOL Up here in Illinois it seemed like it would never stop raining. I just went out and sprayer some corn.

Nope, no rain to speak of, just a few flashes of lightning. Looked promising on radar, though better go ahead and try to get that straw up. Nothing near rain but at least it was cool today 95 degrees heat index have no clue, but didn't feel bad.

Joshua is this normal to have long periods like this with no rain? I see on a precip map that June is supposed to be around 5 or so inches of rain.
 
What we have been going through isn't normal, same as what the midwest has is not normal. However, the weather system is starting to change to hit and miss showers, our little popup storms. Abou the only thing to help us make up some of the deficit is a good soaking tropical storm. Kinda sad though, all the corn is tassling, and it has been grown with irrigation. And you know how much water corn will drink. Dryland has been a wash on the poorer dirt, the sandy fields and the clay hills both lack any substantial stand. We are behind on the hay we need too. We're lucky, we have all we need and some to sell. Most aren't so lucky. If we got normal to excess rain the rest of the year, we might see some crops saved. Otherwise I think this county could lose a couple more farmers.

Hey Roy and Joshua,
Just talked to the wife this morning. She swears the storm came within 100 yards of our place. Got nice and cool though she said.
Oh well maybe today. I'm heading that way for the 4th of July. Can't wait to get to that Ga. desert.!! LOL
