we finally got some rain today just as I was thinking "I AM GOING TO HAVE TO WATER THAT GARDEN AGAIN" it started thundering so I held off then we got about 3/4" to 1" of rain in about 1 1/2 hours that sure helped! I know some of you guys got more rain than you want, sure wish we could trade some of each to even things out. these popped up suddenly and have moved up to Atlanta and seem to be growing stronger. weather man just said a cold front moving in could increase activity tomorrow hope it's just rain. sorry if this seems like boring news but I was excited enough to stay out there in it until the sparks started flying.

We are sending you a lot of water down the Mississippi from the midwest, you will have to figure out how to get it over Mississippi to GA

Didn't bore me. I'm in northern Indiana and have had plenty of precipitation and will always take more. I understand some folks down south a bit got way too much all at once, and I'm sorry about that. I understand you folks in Georgia are hurting for water and wish you the best. Wish I could share some with you, but...

Good luck.

Roy I'm still dry, It seemed like all of it went jest south and west of us last night, but like you said the chances are better for the next couple days. We sure need the help The fields with out irrigation sure are looking sad and hay , well forget it!!

Showed a shot on TV of cattle standing shoulder deep by Indy some where. Wonder if the calfs drown??

At least you got some. nearly the entire state of Texas is under some form of drought: moderet to extremely sever. Very few people are cutting hay and from the fields of non- irrigated crops I've seen, it right now looks like smaller farmers are going to be selling out to ether larger farms or developers. I have seen a few irrigated fields and there look ok but still stressed(the rice farmers are only ones not haven to be to consered with the drought) I have an idea, lets stop this green movement and see if the climates even back out to how there there should be.

I am but it still went south and west Over by Valdosta Homerville Dasher even some of Lakeland but stayed about 10 miles from us.

Hey Larry, what county are you in? Complete wash here, nothing, nada, not a drop. Raked up some straw to bale (I have a $800 fertilizer bill in 15 acres of bermuda grass that has grown all of an inch) and can't even do that it is so dry. Needs around a tenth on it just to toughen it up, or else I need a new baler (Wouldn't be interested in a NH 270 hayliner would ya). Oh well It will rain soon. We will be prepared, getting a new electric well motor to replace a 28 year old Perkins V8. Then We'll be ready.

Radar looked very promising for us at suppr, not so now. However I just got off the tractor after baling up around 200 squares of straw, last 30 minutes in the dark without lights. All I saw was a few flashes of lightning, few drops of rain, and some wind. Otherwise nothing. Ain't going complain till after tomorrow since I still have to pick up all that straw. Then pray to see a good slow 1 1/2 rain.
