We've got a small field of alfalfa that was planted on some low ground that didn't raise anything because at the time it was farmland we were getting quite a bit of rain and the ground turned bad (saline seeps) from the "excess" moisture. We planted alfalfa and grass several years ago and got some bales off it in the last few years. It was finally looking pretty good and the local aerial spray man mistakely put Ally and 2,4D on it while spraying the neighbors wheat. I also got 100 acres of wheat mistakenly sprayed at the same time. The wheat is not a problem, but the alfalfa is in the process of dying right now. What should I ask for from the spray service? This is western South Dakota and it is NOT an easy task to get alfalfa started here. And with the Ally, I think alfalfa is not recomended for 22 months. I really am not looking forward to getting the alfalfa started again. I saw the spray service's telephone number on the caller ID from yesterday so they have tried to contact me. I tried to call them, but their phone is always busy. I think I need some compensation, just don't know how much.
