Picking corn up from a ground pile and loading it into semi-trailers.

Ours is designed with a 10,000 bph conveyor, but we tend to average about 6,000 bph over time. Put about 500 hours a year on it.

It's a good way for the truckers to get a lot of loads in a day if they can dump quick enough.

I've hauled away from piles occasionally, and the first thing that comes to mind is my aching left leg. Had to sit there and hold the clutch in while being loaded because the conveyor filled the truck so fast that when the radio told me to go ahead, I had to do it NOW or the corn would be running over the side of the trailer. There wasn't time to put it in gear and then go.Jim

Kinda looks like a UNI-System, says John Deere on the front. And google doesn't find anything like it under John Deere 5088. Do you have any more pictures of it?

Two elevators around here have different rigs too. One elevator has a giant conveyor that fits a terra-gator and a tractor-mounted auger with what looks kinda like a snowblower on the bottom end. The other elevator has a rig that looks like a conveyor mounted on an old road-grader.

These rigs sure are interesting to look at!

Dan they took a 6600 combine and stripped it down.

They wanted the hydrostat is why they used a combine. They also sit high to see what's going on.

There's an auger across front and a short conveyor running thru the feeder house.

The long conveyor you see can rotate 180 degrees.

It was used to pickup about 600,000 bushel without any major problems. This was the first year for it so there were a few bugs to get out of it.

Dan sorry to confuse you. There are pictures of 2 different loaders here.

The one cornfarmer is running is on an IH 5088.
