Well I found the leak and replaced the rubber O-ring oil seal in the oil slinger.Put it back together and still throwing oil all over the place.Looks like the flywheel came loose on the old owner and wore the back of the flywheel and maybe the end of the oil slinger and the sides where it comes thru the cover. Is the slinger at this point suppose to have groves in it like threads to spin the oil back into the cover? Also how tight is the hole around the slinger in the cover suppose to be?Any help would be great. Thanks for your time Blaine

Sounds like the pin in the flywheel is worn out that is suppose to engage with the slinger to keep it turning with the flywheel. Don

The pin is there I made sure it was back in the hole on the slinger.I looked at it and it has alittle wear on it and the hole in the slinger is worn also. The oil pressure is between the M & H on the guage in the dash, but seems to be closer to the H.How would a guy turn down the oil pressure? Thanks

How tight does the slinger fit onto the crankshaft with the new seal? Should fit very snug. Might check to be sure the new seal didn't get damaged by the splines when you pushed it onto the crank. Also look into the cavity behind the cover and be sure that all the drain holes are open. They can get plugged with sludge over time and will not let the oil drain back down into the crankcase, causing the oil to leak around the outside of the slinger.

Did you center the cover over the slinger before tightening it down ? Use a feeler gauge of at least .003" larger if it will work out, and make sure it goes in all the way around.
Oil pressure at H shouldn't matter. also make sure the engine isn't overfilling it'self
