Rain is a wonderful thing when you need it as badly as we did. SW Manitoba got a 1.75 to 2 inch slow soaker over the weekend. Won't solve every problem, but will solve a lot of them, for now.

Some times here in recent years, we've been CURSED with double average precipitation. Ohio supposedly has an average of 36" per year. One recent year, I believe we had 72". I get so DAMN sick of the stinking rain, gloom, and dampness that I'd like to get outta here for good.

We`ve had too much rain in S. Ind & S. Ill too. I just remember what an older farmer once said. You can farm with too much rain but you can`t farm without it.

Well just head south we barely had over a inch for this year so far and where they have got it big hail came with it.

Six tenths of an inch here in the Interlake. Looks pretty good to me. Now for some warm weather to get the grass growing. Kruss, are they forecasting frost for you tonight?

Yes, we got a bit of frost Monday night but not much more than an hour of it. Hopefully won't have done much damage. Always seems to set alfalfa back a bit.
