Tractors plow snow!
Now that makes it legit.
I'm just wondering how many of you have the
normal amount of snow for this time of year?
Here in Northwest Indiana we've had two snows
that didn't even cover the roads or sidewalks.
Merry Christmas everybody.

Here in northern Wisconsin at 10 pm I have 46 degrees and rain. The 6 inches of frost in the ground has come out and turned to mud. And tomorrow is supposed to be warmer Normally we would have a foot of snow!

Sorry AMF. Its headed your way from our address. While its easy to heat the shop its a mud pit outside.

We have very little snow right now in central NoDak. This is what it looked like on Januarey 22 of this year.

Merry Christmas to ALL. Central Minn 52 degrees today and rain ALL day Ive heard 2 plus Just think it could have been about 3 of snow Hummmm

Just a crust of white on the ground here in Nova Scotia, and the temperature is minus 1C and expected to climb. We had more snow earlier in the month but several wind/rain storms fixed that. Were certainly not short on moisture but no real snow.

First of all before I can give you an answer, what is a normal year? I remember the Christmas of 1980 being just much the same as this. We had plenty of snow two weeks before Christmas that year and it warmed up Christmas Eve and rained all day Christmas Day. And we didnt get very much more snow the rest of the winter.
So normal is a wide spectrum from 45F to -0F . This year the snow from last week has nearly all melted away

southwest missouri.we got a lite dusting of snow. and just after it fell a nut slid off the road thinkin it was lite so he could drive like it was summer

56 and rain for the next 3 days then a dusting of snow to come. Not cold enough to freeze the ground and not warm enough to dry out I'm tires of mud. Been frogging around in it since end of September. Just getting deeper. So wet hard to get out to cut wood. We picked most of the corn and had to leave the cart on the headland to dump into. Got about 60 acrs to go yet and been using 4x4 on the combiner just to drive in the field. Some of the tiled ground was a bit better but it had a bit of frost in the ground at that time too. never froze solid just a frost at night that has thawed out by late day.

We had 52 yesterday, record warm for that day. 42 today. This will be the 4th day of rain in a row here. Had 2 as of last night. Most years are white for Christmas here. No frost in the ground yet and it's usually froze hard by Thanksgiving or the week after. The ice has even left most of the lakes around here, saw someone had left a fish house on the water and it was on the way to the bottom the other day.

45 F at home for the next three days. Terrible blizzard last Christmas, but Winters are definitely shorter and milder from those in my youth. Good or bad? .....I don't know. We can certainly acknowledge that our crop yield increase is due in partly to the milder climate....and perhaps the wilder weather swings are part of it as well. Mother Nature is still in control.

I often think it's a good thing we don't have to depend on an ice harvest any more. Used to be done right up the road from me here in central NY. It's been many many years since that was even possible here.

Almost all snow is gone. 43 degrees today and no freezing weather till later this week.No frost in ground. NOT a normal Christmas weather but will take it. Mother nature will get even. MERRY CHRISTMAS from central Wisconsin

Here in northern MN we had a little snow in November. We have had rain now and temps in the 40's. Unusual but not unheard of. In 1983 I was building my log house in January in my T shirt, as it was in the 50's in what is the usually coldest month of the year.
