I received an email from ebay saying my account has been permanently suspended. That puzzles me because I don't even have such an account. Never have and have no intention to ever have such an account.

Anyone ever has such an experience??

More likely you got an email from someone posing as eBay, commonly called a SCAM! Delete it, do not answer it.

Happens a lot. It is called phishing. Pronounced fishing. As mentioned dont respond to it. Send it to your spam folder or delete it.

Yep, even had emails telling me my UPS shipment has been delayed and they need more information from me. I didn't have anything on order. Hum, seems a little strange. Also from Amazon said my order is being held pending payment, nothing on order there either.

I get those every day, they are scams, never reply!

I guess it's now a product of AI, because the majority of them are impersonating places that I do order from frequently.

Another one I get often are the ones that claim to be UPS, Fedex, USPS, etc. that have an undeliverable package and if I don't contact them immediately the package is going back to the sender! Again, complete fraud!

Never click any links or call any phone numbers!!!

They buy lists. Doesn't cost much to send out millions of emails. Every once in a while a fish takes the bait. Apparently enough to keep buying more lists.

I get them all the time. I have so much money in various banks I've lost track of it I guess since I dont remember doing business with them.

Yep, you received nothing from eBay, but from a person/scum claiming to be them. Do not reply.

On all emails, look at the from address, they almost never include the name of the entity they claim to be from. Real ones always do.

Yesterday, I received an email saying the my account was charged $1150 for a new I phone. No company name or identification of any kind. It went on to say if I didn't order this I should contact them at a shown number. I reported it as spam. Another annoying thing that happens at least 6 times daily is some jerk keeps calling and when I would answer there wouldn't be anyone there. Each time it shows the call as coming from a different number so I don't know if it's a legitimate call or not. Unless I know the number, I don't answer anymore, if it's a good call, they can leave a message.

If you send them your name, address and social security number they would be happy to reinstate you account. There will be a fee for that of course so be sure to give them you bank account number as well.

for the companies that buy and sell lists, a list of phone numbers of people that usually answer the phone is worth a lot more than lists of unknown response. Sometimes you receive calls from companies that are evaluating the quality of their lists.

I had almost the same scam over a year ago. Got a text that said the card linked to my account was charged over a thousand dollars for a new I phone. That was impossible because I do not have and never did have an account ! Fishing !

I get them from Michigan Department of Treasury every now and again. Common sense tells me that they don't have my email address. I've never opened one and nobody has shown up to knock my door down.

I been getting up to 80 a day. All spam. Any that come to my in box get marked as spam and eventually they all go to my spam folder witch gets emptied every couple of days. I get them places I do have an account with. All asking for information. This time of year is the worst for me. I've deleted about 350 in the last 5 days.

I should add; I've never had an account canceled because I ignored the email. BTW; I do have an Ebay account and use it regularly. Saved literally thousands of dollars buying tires from there over the last 20 years.

It's one of two things:
1) scam, trying to get you to open the e-mail and click the link inside. Don't do it. Flag or Report the message as "phishing" and delete it.
2) someone opened an ebay account with your information. If so, contact ebay on your own, separately.
