My grandson called me yesterday with some questions. He's trying to get a '53 Cub running. It belonged to his other grandma and been sitting in a barn for a long time. He's really getting into it. We'll be going there for Christmas next week so we should be able to get it going.

It is a great blessing to have a grandson who is interested in mechanics. I have two grandsons who will help me with anything I ask them to do, but they have no interest in anything farm related on their own. They're both good men, just have different interests from their old grampa.

They live near Boston so I've only been able to spend an average of three weeks a year with them. He's finishing up college so who knows where it will go from there. He does pretty well on his own. Put a lift kit in his Jeep and did a brake job.
