Something a little different in jigsaws. I have a lot of vintage ads and this is one of my favourites from the early 1950s. Minneapolis Moline U tractor pulling
a MM combine. I only ever saw one combine like that but U tractors were everywhere here. Had a real fast road gear.

My DAD near Mendota, Illinois had a Combine like that for a few years in mid 1950's. Also pulled by a 1949 M-M UTU. Great outfit and was replaced by a M-M Uni System.

My neighbor Loren used his last time in 2016, he gave all hi combines to a city that built a new mueseum for him, it was fun watching all the different brands, working in the same field, in 80 plus bushel per acre spring wheat!! I pulled his 965 PTO Case combine with my Super MTA, with 10 foot straight cut. I was in 1st gear with TA back!

I have an upgraded version of that G4. Mine is a G144 that grandpa bought brand new in 1957.

We had a G4 up until the later 60's in the Red River Valley of Mn. They were very common in that area, but by the late 60's their time was over, everything was getting bigger by then,

The only one of these combines, or similar model, was this one at a farm auction nearby in 2012. Probably went for scrap iron like so much more of the good stuff there.

That's an earlier G4 as it had the shoot for unloading. I think all the later ones had an auger and it was a good size one for those years, it unloaded fairly quick. Nice pictures Rusty, brings back some good memories!
