Cab loader controls

Hello all. Recently purchased a JD 4030 with sound guard cab. I am putting a JD 158 loader. Looking for help on loader controls, source, options... The JD midmount valve and cable controlled joystick isn't available now. All sites show backorder. Only kit I found was $2400.00 and i am not paying that. Loader has a prince 2 spool valve and no I don't want to use the tractor remotes. Summit hydraulics have a joystick on their site but doesn't have a good description. Would like to find cable joystick and still use PR once valve. Well thanks in advance.

I cant help on cable joystick availability. I mounted a
joystick in the cab with hoses on it to the loader but if
any fittings ever leaked it was a mess in the cab. Not
bad when new but when lines got old and leaked I had
to replace them all.

Sounds like you need a pwoer beyond plate to pull flow off the pump without using your remote valves then with a joystick you can mount the closed center valves down on the side by the frame for the loader. Probably running the cables through the little corner window or up through a hole or grommet in the floor.

I have the complete cab mount pedestal with joy stick and kit to make your prince valve move but you
need to verify that in fact the prince valve will work on the jd system

I agree one needs to be sure spool valve is designed to operate on JD 4030 closed center hyd system. Power beyond plate for JD 4030 is shown in photo below & should be mounted between LH scv & 3pt rockshaft housing. PBY plate can be purchased at most hyd supply businesses such as Surplus Center or Bailey Hyd's to name a couple locations.

I have put a few valves into sound guard cabs,, I get a single stick valve from Surplus supply mount it in the cab off the window frame in the correct location then cut a 4 hole in the forward cab floor for the hoses,,if you bundle them tight it looks okay, then use bulk head fittings to make the connections for the loader down on the frame

That says it is an open center valve, no mention of being convertible to closed center. Also, no Float position on one spool, so not a loader valve to me, just directional control with a main relief.

This would be a good time to get a 3-spool loader valve, so a grapple or other accessory could be added in the future. The ports can be plugged until that time or hose out to couplings to provide a plug-in point when wanted.

I put a 157 as I vaguely recall many years ago on a 4010 having closed center hydraulics. Got the supply pressure from the
distribution box from which the 3 pt was powered....had a plug (maybe what's called a power beyond port) and I just tapped into it
and installed a Cross double hydraulic valve I bought at TSC for a couple hundred bucks. The return line I welded a fitting on the
hyd. oil filter cover which worked just fine. I don't remember the total cost but couple hundred bucks for the control and maybe 20'
of 1/2 HP hose and fittings which I had made up at the local auto parts sales store. I found a convenient location for the control and
just fabricated a bracket for mounting it out of scrap steel I had lying around.

What I didn't know of at the time, nor liked was the fact that I work alone and hooking up the huge (forget the dimensions) without
the skid steer connector like is available today, getting bolts in 4 holes with movable hydraulic cylinders involved that didn't
necessarily extend the same length was a discusting effort....made you want to just leave the bucket on.
