Cab on the 930

A giant step forward in comfort happened for me in the spring of 1978. I bought a new Cozy cab and we installed it on the 930 Case. No more at the mercy of the weather or combine dust. It was about the most expensive after market cab available at the time. Wish I still had that 930. Turned it into a jigsaw puzzle.

i put a factory built oliver cab on my 1650 oliver. sure it was hot indoors in summer but baling dusty hay and feeding cows 2 miles from home sure was nice to be in out of dust. i got 4 defroster fans that are just a 6 inch round fan n helped lots to cool it off.then got water cooler. never put heater in it but did think about it

I have yet to own a tractor with a cab. I still have your 1978 thrill in front of me. Must of been pretty chilly up there north with no cab. Did the heater in that first cab work good for you ? Always enjoy your posts.

Thanks Bill. Never had the need for a heater in that tractor as it was parked for winter once harvest was over. Even on cool harvest days, just being out of the wind was a huge improvement in comfort. I did install the water based "cab cooler" that came as an accessory. It was better than nothing in the summer but the water pump gave me problems. I'll post a picture of that some time.
