I have a 2910 and 5610 ford tractor, they were bought back in early 80's. On the dash the rpms is about all that works. Id like to try to fix what I have or if not buy a new one but i need a diagram to know what wires go to what. Where can I find something like that?

The correct OEM service manuals should have wiring diagrams. You can search the internet for ones someone uploaded, however it is not uncommon to have to purchase those. You might find used OEM manuals on eBay. This site and others sell reprints. Quality of reprints vary. I have some from peacefulcreek which are good quality reprints.

And if your lucky, there is a color code to the wires, which helps chase them down to their source. Usually, wires have been patched in with any color at hand and present a challenge in rewiring.

There is a 3 amp fuse that powers all of the gauge cluster. On early models it was an inline glass fuse that was just behind the cluster in a white holder next to the wiring bundle. So look carefully for it. The cluster must also have a ground wire plugged into it or it might not work correctly. when your remove the 4 screws on the cluster, and pull it out a bit, you may have to unscrew the tach cable to get it to come out a bit more. There is usually a rats nest on top of the gas tank full of straw and clippings you may have to clean out. Sometimes the wires are chewed up from these rodents that like to nest there.
