You cant see it very good but it has an arm on the back to pick up logs and pull them out. Ive never seen one like this. It would draw lots of attention at a show!!

Tucker Sno-cat used by ski slopes and snowmobile clubs for trail grooming around here. They may have blades and/or pull drag groomers. I have seen Bombardiers working in the woods year-round, but don't think I've seen a Tucker used that way, but I'm sure some do. I don't know how well those tracks would stand up on bare ground, rocks, stumps, and brush in the woods. I see the Tucker site does show some uses on soft ground for agriculture, but the tracks shown are different than the ones in your picture.

Tucker Sno Cat, they work good as long as the snow is soft and deep. Went out way to often to retrieve broken Tuckers cause they broke tracks, boogies, or just plain lost a track assembly.Picked them up with a knuckle boom mounted on a roll-a-gon and set em on a skid to haul back to the shop.

The newer ones are offered with what they call Terra
Tracs. A molded rubber belt that can run on all surfaces.
The older ones like pictured want to be run on softer
surfaces. I would guess the one pictured is mid-late 80s
vintage.

Mostly meant to carry supplies and crew to job sites, they
can do some towing, but there are better suited machines
out there for that. Drivetrain on the older ones was
Dodge/Chrysler components similar to a comparable
vintage pickup.

I ran one occasionally at a ski area, things could get.... interesting....if conditions were icy as they had steel tracks.

Fred, I have never seen a Rolligon here in the Northeast. Where were you using one?
