bought this 1948 D today. sat for 40 years in a quonset, yes engine is stuck. as u see by the tires how long it sat. one owner tractor. so i have yet another project . these projects are piling up on me. and yes its a tear down.

Tractor looks VERY complete and not physically abused..

The chains that drive the rear axles have a very unique way of tightening them..

id remove spark plugs pour marvel mystery oil kerosene mix in.let set few days . then jack rear wheel up on 1 side,put in high gear engage clutch n rock the wheel by hand might try that few times to see if it breaks loose before i just busted in like gang busters
 
Suppose that's the original work clothes?? If so that's a really nice find. Looks like the original tires. Probably not a ton of hours on it.
 
When I see old tractors like that, I imagine how proud the new owner was when he got it. I am sure he is happy you are going to save it!!!
 
That style of Firestone front tires always looks so nice. What are your plans for it? Tractor pulls, maybe?
