Our local show for livestock and new machinery back in the 1950's. Now it is mainly horses, new cars, property marketing and a very small area for agricultural machinery. Now a day out for the city dwellers.
Royal Norfolk Show 1957

Bedford trucks, i don't think i have heard of them, before ! I cant figure out the other two brands of tractors there either !

I noticed the 50's era long skirt on the lady with the little girl and man walking behind her. On skirts, I don't know how ladies of the old west tolerated those things that were the customary wardrobe, with the heat, no AC, outhouse, bath in a tub once a who knows when...they had true grit!

When you went to the show, back then, it was a special occasion bit like a Sunday Church visit. It was one of the only times you met with people from other villages. The show ran for three days, the first day was for the owners and the wealthy 'aristocrats'. Royalty like the king and queen, or later, the queen and duke, would attend on the first day with others appearing on the second and third days. The third day was for the workers to go and enjoy themselves, plenty of free beer and strawberry teas on some stands.
