Oliver Super 88 transmission

I am considering buying a Oliver Super 88 Diesel. The Specification number is 18-172 The Serial number is 44-773-804.
I understand the last four digits of the Serial is the transmission classification. Can any one tell me the difference between an 801 and an 804?
Also it has duals on it...What is a fair price for it?
 
I don't know all of those transmission codes. There's an Oliver Forum on this site. Post there and
somebody will have them.
 
Most important thing is it running? If it has set too long
and the metering shaft in the injection pump is stuck, if
the engine is turned over it will break the shaft and parts
are worse than finding a needle in a haystack and will
cost as much as the tractor is worth or more. Unless it
has parts you need or the tires are great, if you cant hear
it run, Id run away from it as fast as I could.
