Today I got to use the 18 picker I bought last fall. Worked good. Picking with my 2510 gas. Running second gear. Tom

Ah yes, picking ear corn. Such a slow tedious job all alone but add a second man to do the hauling and you really start to move across the field.

Nice! love these pics and updates...started working on My Great Uncle's dairy farm back when alot of the stuff you are dealing with was still in everyday use... I started on a late model B raking and tedding hay, they had a 2510 Dsl, a 730 Dsl and 4-5 4020 Dsls at the time. Other than a Farmall M that had been a primary tractor ealier and was still around running the blower, a New Holland Silage blower, and a couple of Gehl Wagons, I have never seen a non Deere piece of equipment on the Farm. Things started getting bigger quick after that; The B stuck around, but the 730 and 4020s all got replaced with 4430s, then even bigger. Big Deere haybines replaced many of the traditional hay tools, although square bales were (still are) the norm. Big multicrop harvesters replaced choppers and pickers and such. The farm is still going strong, but the B is the only thing left that is interesting to me. Now all the tractors are 200+ plus HP with 4wd or tracks
