long line at tire store

Im taking all my vehicles in and tell them to drain flush and replace all the tire air with 78% Nitrogen to get them ready for winter....... The 78% blend is cheaper than 100% yet still gets me by...

John T

Costco puts nitrogen in all their tires, and it does work better! They maintain close to the same pressure year around, and don't go down like atmospheric air.

WE great minds think alike !!!!! Good idea, run that 78% stuff all year !!! No need to change winter summer tire air that way

John T

Id rather use nitrogen gas for other important things like purging water from aircore coaxial and wave guide feed lines. And/or liquid nitrogen for the seman tank and making instant ice cream.

You sound like an old ''Cable/Antenna'' Air Force man, Heard of a tank buried to get a job signed off !!!!!!!

Tony is the only one who has used the term 'nitrogen' correctly here. 'Nitrogen' is simply an element, one of 118 known at this time (but there are more of course). Nobody has 'nitrogen' in their tires, they have 'nitrogen gas' in their tires (as Tony has stated). Also, I think the term 'air' is also thrown around rather carelessly here. What we call air is actually a mixture of nine differnt molecules of which nitrogen gas is only one. Science lesson over for today. Well done Tony !!!!

Bill did You mention NITROGEN or changing your Summer AIR to Winter AIR?
Somehow Your Post went sideways CRAZY!

Too funny, it don't take much to tickle our old funny bones. Good Job Wilson, gotta have a bit of humor on here.

Yall have a nice evening now and be sure and change from summer to winter air in all your tires now. Im stickin to good old fashion 78% Nitrogen gas in mine, Winter and Summer, it gets me by lol

Your Post went sideways CRAZY

But thats what makes it fun on here !!! Keep em coming Wilson, makes for good humor !!

No military except for my dad being a Marine Corp Sergeant who brought us up like we were in the Marines. However in a former life I was an engineer for broadcast radio, two way radio and large (greater than 15 feet) satellite dish farm installations. Many of the installations were either high power or high frequency that used air dielectric helix feed lines. Those lines were required to be pressurized to keep the condensation out.

when i use nitrogen it goes into the ground to grow your food. hell with the tires. good old compressor air has worked in all tires since they were invented, plus u had to use a hand pump .

John
For the rest of the story, changing air from summer to winter air is a long running joke with Bill.
Winter air is heavier than summer air, so winter air gives you more traction..
