You guys would never make it as a sugar farmer. While rain and wet ground might slow them down it doesnt stop them. The harvesters are built on tracks and the tractor front tires are as big as the rear tires.

It does hurt their bottom line though as dirt in the crop is a docking charge.
 
We have only cut about 8-10acres yet. IT will not stop raining for more than about a day or 2 maybe so they don't get to dry out to cut and it rains again. We cut those earlier this past week and used 4wd on combine to get through a few places for that. I see a long hard row for fall harvest with it going into Mid late December this year. I hate fooling around in the cold combining. It is hard on everything combine truck and grain cart.
