on my JD 3010 it leaks oil out the shaft is there a shim that will fit the shaft [size 3.514]

Most likely use has caused the ol seal to wear a grove in the shaft. You can buy a speedi sleeve that is a thin metal ring that fits on the shaft and gives the seal a new surface to seal against. Years ago I had the part numbers wrote somewhere. Tom
