Orbital steering valve leak MF 245

I'm working on my hydraulic power steering. I'm using an orbital valve out of a Massey 245. I've been tracking down a leak and found the rear bolts were all somewhat loose, and oil was seeping around two of them. Is there a gasket or o-rings inside, or a finely machined surface that will seal it back up once the bolts are tight? It's installed on the tractor and a real pain to remove and tear apart, so I'm hoping just tightening all 8 or 9 bolts will fix the leak. Anyone been inside of one of these? steve

The last thing you want to do is open it up. In the years cannot tell how many folks that have walked into the shop with one in a box saying can you please put this back together right.

JM: I had heard that. I think that's why I asked the question about what's inside. I may just stand back and watch after I get all the bolts tight. It's in such a tight space I'm going to have to build a special 1/2'' socket to tighten the last of the 7 bolts. And of course they are recessed in the cap, so not easy to start with. Thanks for the warning. steve

Well, I made my special socket, tightened all 7 bolts and took the 101 JR for a workout ride. No more leaks from the full hydro steering. A small drip at the FEL front pump is the next challenge, but tomorrow is a new day. Steve
