Early Field Marshall tractor from the late 1930's. One pulled a threshing drum and elevator for a contractor in the village where I grew up and for some reason, it was always known as a Betsy-Marshall. Single cylinder and a maximum road speed of five miles an hour.

The later ones, yes, but it bit more than a shotgun shell. It was the same calibre but was filled with a far more powerful explosive. Little grey pellets, never did know what they were. I do know a contractor who heard someone messing with his machines in his yard at night, who grabbed his twelve gauge, jammed a couple of cartridges and let off two barrels into the air. Unfortunately he had grabbed two Marshall starter cartridges by mistake. The gun and his shoulder were never the same again!
