Been running the old cat combine is some corn today just too bad my yeild is zero

Yes you do just add grease but the seals in the push cylinder went out and it dont hold its position (winter project) this dozer gets less than a 100 hrs a year so i'm not too awful woried about it.
 
Yup I know the issue and would just try to only turn when the middle of the track is on a hump so it stays on till you get to the house with it. Straight driving is not a problem the turning is.
 
I kinda sucks that that seal went out becuase not only do i have to turn with intent but i also have to watch the load i put in frount otherwise it will skip. The old boy that owned it before we did put the screws to it and i could level a 25 ton load of clay in 2 passes. Now i have to take smaller bites

Repair is best. At the risk of enabling you to continue on with a blown seal, you can pump the adjuster out and weld a block to the swing frame behind the yoke to keep her extended. We used to do this when we were miles from a lowbed and had to walk one out. Never operated 100 hours like this but you could if you had to.
