And the Dodge was the better truck bigger brakes, and better oil pressure, nicer truck. A hoist would top it off .

Not a Bow Tie. It is a Great Mountain Climber. This cab style came out in middle of 47, lasted through 53.

My error, didn't look at grille bars. Also wing windows would be 51 or later. Did door handles change to push button type in 52 or 53. Basic cab style lasted through 54 to mid 55. New cab style wasn't ready for beginning of 55.

My 51 GMC has cab and color shared with that. Nice choice. Jim

The GMC is pre 1954...2 piece windshield
and old style grill surround. Pull down
door handles and wing vents mean 1951. As
for the engines and oiling, the GMC had
full pressure lubrication in an overhead
valve engine while the Dodge was using a
1920s technology flathead engine. Just my
$0.02.
