My dad , who has passed now has a tractor that he told me it was made from a Model T or A during WWII when metal was only used for the war. The original engine died, so he put a JD combine engine in it . We still have it and plan to sell it but wanted to verify his story. I think he said a guy in Iowa made them and sold a lot of them. Anyone know any thing about these?

Th EROS Model T Tractor Conversion was one. Ya got dates mixed up. WWII would have been FORD early V8 years.

Yes....you are getting good info. There were several companies that made kits you could buy to put your Model A four cyl. in it or a Model T engine or a Chevrolet 4cyl built in the 1926-1928 time period. But.....lots and lots of farmers totally homebuilt their tractors by using older trucks and shortening the frame or using older cars and pickups but adapting larger truck rear ends....and sometimes a second transmission for really low gear work suck as plowing etc. Have fun

I know where 2 of those are in a barn around here. They are similar to the Sears Roebuck tractor that I have. Mine is equipped with a Model A Ford engine coupled with a Timken truck rear end.
Thieman utilized the Model A rear end.
