The frankenstien SMTA is alive. It moved today under it's own power. The TA and LPTO work.Had to lengthen the throttle and the choke rods. Modify the rear fuel tank support. Brakes and TA linkage,clutch
pedal and starter came from a 400. A '50M donated the engine,radiator,transmission cover,other. My 'iron pile' donated the hoop drawbar,steering shaft,other stuff as well.Still need to instal hood,grill and
a few other things to finish up.
 
Want to add that a total of 4 tractors(M;SMTA;two 400s) plus extra 'iron pile' parts went in to the project.
 
Oh,it looks like a SMTA. But close examination revveals some things that are not quite right for a SMTA.;)
 
I farm with several of those as well. Have a 3020 that was a gas gas but now has a 3010 diesel engine with a 3020 head to give me pencil injectors. Also a 4010 with a 4020 engine. Tom

I have that Johnny Cash song on a CD that I have in my truck. I don't actually know the title of the song, but I know what you are referring to. I've listened to it about 100 times and I still enjoy it.
