Look at the wheels on the grain drill! Obviously it was made to be horse drawn with those wood spoke wheels and wooden hubs. The speed of a
tractor, even an old one like that could easily get those hubs pretty hot. WoW!
 
That is a Smyth drill made in Peasenhall, Suffolk. Smyth were a very old company making drills back
nearly to Jethro Tull. Most farms in Norfolk and Suffolk had them. My fathers boss had one that was
used for sowing kale for cattle feed in the 1950's.
 
Could have been me planting soybeans with my JD Van Brunt, wood box, wood wheels. I used it for years and bever had a heating problem
with the wheel hubs.
