Running boards for the new tractor hauler?

So I have a new REGULAR cab pickup with an 8 foot bed. The new ones are taller every year or am I getting shorter! Anyway has anyone found running boards or steps that not only help you get into your seat,
but also go back towards the rear tire. That way you could step up onto them to get stuff out of the front of the bed? Will the ones for a double cab bolt in place and do that job? Seams like all of the ones
I look at on the web don't show a good picture of them on a regular cab.

Check out deezee.com

They even have the old school, wheel well to wheel well type that actually protects the truck body.

But there are hundreds of types made by them and many others.

It may depend on the make/model but I have seen them for the door and cross bed tool box and ones that go all the way back. I don't know who makes them but they are out there.

I have TAC brand on mine, you just have to look at a lot of websites to get what you want.Look on Amazon for their fitment pictures.

When I had my '96 Chevy Crew dually I had local welding shop make custom boards using diamond plate aluminum. They were actually made in 2 pieces on each side. The first piece took care of the four doors. Then there was a gap about equal to the distance between the cab and the box. Then the second piece went from the front of the box to the dually bubble fender opening. I have seen some custom boards that also had a third piece made to fit from the back of the bubble fender to the end of the box. It comes down to what do you want and how bad you want it. $$$$

Can't tell you the brand name off hand, but I have that type of running boards on my 2001 K-3500 dually. Helps me to not only get into the cab, but also to access the cross-bed tool box.
