Are the braided ground cables beneficial in any way? Or are they now just a cosmetic addition to the old tractors authentic look? another silly question from tom...lol gobble

I find the braided cable are more flexible than the newer round plastic coated cable that you get now. Easier to deal with in tight spots. No such thing as a silly question by the way.

I have them on a few tractors and get along fine with them. Like JCarroll said, the flexibility they offer is a positive factor. Seems like they are a little pricey, but what isn't these days?

Flexibility. I disconnect the ground cable so the battery doesn't drain, so the braided cables will last longer.

You can use welder ground cable if you like the black cable look. Welder suppliers around here carry a lot of sizes.
