Macdon Headers

I know this topic isn't related to tractors, but here goes.
I'm helping a neighbour with harvest who has a CR90 New Holland combine with a 30ft. Macdon draper header. He doesn't know what model the header is, and we can't find anything on the header to identify it. The issue is; how to tighten the belt that drives the sickle. There is no idler pulley. It looks like the drive pulley needs to be moved but there are no slots that allow the mounting bolts to move.
Sure wish I could provide more info on the header

Good idea Rusty 2N. The combine is a few miles away so I'll take a pic or two. Then, if I can figure out how to post it on this site, will do so this eve.

Serial number tag should be on the left hand end of the header in the vicinity of the drive pulley you are talking about. There is also a separate serial number tag on the center combine adapter.

Most likely a 963, 972, or 973 model header. Would need a couple pictures to tell you.

Anyway, 204-831-4422 will connect you to MacDon product support. Depending who you get, they should be able to answer your question. This time of year there are a few people on rotation, if you dont get an answer the first time try again later. The guys with more experience should be able to help you out.

Also, on the MacDon website under support, you can download OP and parts manuals once you figure out which model.

I appreciate everyone's response. I'm embarrassed to say that when I went to take a pic; how to tighten the belt was so obvious I can't believe I missed it. Loosen two nuts and tighten a bolt that draws the drive pulley housing, retighten the two nuts. Good thing I was by myself. You'd have all got a good laugh at me trying to erase the word 'stupid' off my forehead.
