Panzer thread/Pennyslvania 88 Mower

Didn't want to hijack the Panzer thread of RedMF40. In the late 70's, I picked up a Pennyslvania 88 rear engine lawnmower, which if I understand correctly was made by Panzer. It was a 30 inch cut, powered by a 6 hp Briggs, and used a friction disc drive. My wife absolutely loved it, would always mow the lawn with it, although it was rewind start and couldn't start it. Motor finally wore out and I dumped it. Anyone ever have or use one of them? In hindsight, I should have bought a new electric start motor and kept it, but back then was hard enough to put food on the table. I think I picked up some other wore out junk mower instead..

I have not seen any rear engine models in his yard, but my neighbor has six or seven Panzers lined up in his yard. He has been rebuilding and mowing with his for 25 years or so. He told me he bought the first one from my father in law before I came along and we are working on 43 years! Do a Google search you will find the information you want

When I was a kid, Dad drove school bus. I'm gonna say I was about 6 when somebody along his route bought one of the green front engine jobs. After he got done milking one night, we went down there and looked it over. It was a pretty impressive kid sized tractor for somebody my size.

I have looked them up, and found them online. None for sale or anything, just seen them on forums. Exactly like I remembered. It mentions they were somewhat rare, just wondered if anyone else ever was around one.
