I have a 1958 ford 801 tractor that quit running I have installed a overhauled diesel pump and reworked the fuel injectors. I cannot get it to
run it will run as long as I use starting fluid but as soon as it runs out of the fluid it will not fire. I have checked the fuel from the pump and it is getting to the injectors could this be a compression problem? It did set for a year or so after it quit running. I tried to check the compression but do not have a good set up and could only get about 75 psi.

do you have any clue/symptoms of why it quit? Is it puffing white smoke? If not, the pump may not be turning! Jim

It runs on ether, so it is not valve timing gear issues. if no white smoke, it is not injecting fuel. Jim
