That Massey Harris gasoline engine that the
Auctioneer had listed as an International
diesel engine sold tonight. Sure diden't
bring much just as I expected. I didn't buy
it.

I did buy a couple of rear tractor tires.
Lot : 3436 International diesel engine only untested

I'm NOT sure what your concern/distress over this was?

If you were looking for an IH diesel engine, the engine in the auction obviously wasn't such a thing.

So why not click out of the auction and move on???

Agreed! So if this wouldve been a Waukesha 6BK and sold for $500 the gripe would be you can buy the whole tractor for that. I thought this topic was pertinent to Tractor Talk and was interested because its common to see these online auctions botch their listings. A guy tries to be topical and post a follow up to a post that garnered attention when first posted so lets kick in his teeth. I for one thought it interesting and Im glad he posted. However I a disappointed that I havent found a post this morning on what rain boots grandma is ordering for little Suzy off the Target site on the back to school sale or another picture of tractor pulling.

The poor auction house seemed to think anything red is international and anything tractor related is diesel haha Im sure the buyer knew the difference. Probably was just what they wanted and got it for a song. Well worth $25 to someone who needed it.

I once had a UTB 800 Romanian Fiat built tractor never officially imported to the USA,painted Blue,last time I saw it was at a consignment sale,painted red and advertised as an IH.

There has been a lot of guillotine work from on some of these topics lately. Just started up again this morning on 9-2-8N forum. Someone uses incorrect punctuation, has a couple typos. The executioner is triggered. Too much Im The Only Person In The World syndrome and general lack of apathy.
