After market parts

I wont be driving my tractors for a few days. I went into the
shop (hospital) yesterday for some repairs. Got some after
market parts installed. My left shoulder had turned me into
a one armed farmer this past year. Had a good mechanic
(doctor) and I am doing good this morning. No pain meds in
over 12 hours and already less pain than I was experiencing
before the surgery. Ill be heading home this afternoon and
let my sweet little nurse take care of me for a while. I was
busy the last couple weeks doing things that required 2
hands and almost every one I know has offered to help me
out during recovery. My kids say they will get me a grease
gun and an oil can for Christmas this year to keep these new
joints lubed up. I think of my grandpa hobbling around with
his cane and am very thankful to be living in 2023 with all
the modern technology that we often complain about.

I hear ya there. Monday i go get my left eye worked on for cataract and they put my prescription into the new lens. Telling me I'll need reading glasses after both are done but distance should be fine. Having worn glasses since high school I'll buy readers by the case cause I'll lose them a lot.

Go to Amazon and search folding reading glasses. I have them and they are great. Mine have spring-loaded arms and they fold up and are carried in a small hard case so they don't get damaged or scratched. Carry in pockets, etc.

I did the same (sort of) about 5 weeks ago. Had total right knee replacement.
I had to be there 530 on a Thursday morning. I was in my hospital room (operation complete) by noon that day and was home
on Friday noon. I had my left knee done 4-5 years ago, so I wasn't afraid to get this one done, but I forgot how
painful the first 1 1/2-2 weeks are!!! Doing therapy twice a week and gaining all the time. Told the therapist
I gotta drive corn truck around Sept 15th. He said no problem, just do as much therapy as I can at home and bend that knee!!!
I'm at 107 deg. and he plans on getting me to 120 deg. same at the other one.
Actually, I'm getting better and better each day. Hardley any knee pain except when I do stretches.

my oil pump relief valve stuck ,high pressure. they got er down to proper work zone pressure. now my air intake is acting up again. i hate goin to people mechanics.
GLAD YOUR SEEING IMPROVEMENTS

My therapist called me a unicorn!! I did 128 degrees on the first day, 3 days after surgery. Angered my BIL, who had his done a week before, and struggled at 90 degrees for weeks. I think it has a lot to do with how flexible you were before surgery.
