Track Marshall's were a very popular crawler on British farms during the 1950's through to the 1980's, originally part of the Ward group that bought Fowler and Marshall Tractors in the 1930's. Lack of financial clout in the tractor market and being slow to replace the single cylinder, two stroke diesel that the tractors and crawlers were based on left them a bit behind others. The early Track Marshalls with a Perkins L4 engine revived the company's fortunes but take overs by Aveling Barford and British Leyland weakened the company until its final demise.

This tractor was really the last throw of the dice, a Japanese import based on Australian rubber tracks to compete with the Caterpillar rubber tracked machines that were proving very popular. It did not work.
