Two problems today, first, you have to put up with me being in a couple of pictures and , two, I posted a couple on Tractor Tales (Off Topic) in error. Will try harder in future. In the meantime, this is me and Dotty, my petrol Dexta, at a show in Holland.

Nice looking tractor. I do have a question on the Dexta diesel though if there is any difference or not. But how high should the clutch pedal set when adjusted correctly? I have a friend with a Dexta diesel and that pedal sets so high I have trouble getting my foot high enough to get on it. I've loaded it several time to take to drives and always hate that clutch to use. I tend to stand up to get my foot on it.
 
With a Dexta and a two stage clutch the pedal is very uncomfortable and difficult to reach when operating in the PTO clutch mode. The answer is only use it in this mode when using the PTO. This reduces wear on clutch linkage, hip and knee!!!!

Change mode by moving the pin in the clutch clevis to the front hole.

I suffer too!!! Fords were like this on their smaller tractors right up to the early Ford 3000 and 2000. Easy job to do when you need the PTO and it saves on physiotherapy bills. ;0)
 
What's the story of the extra fins on the front grilles. I'd never noticed that before. I did a quick Google search ad I see a few other Dexta's with them, but most don't have them.

Wow.....what a simple answer and easy solution!
The question was posed to the perfect person; one who obviously knows these tractors very well. Another good reason for checking in here regularly.
 
Good to know never knew that and was never around one till he got that one. He uses it on his mower so pto is used all summer for him. I only had to use it for a few times each loading and unloading.
