Looking around at tire options as the ones that came with my machine are probably the original tires from the factory, completely destroyed.
Came across this site and this deal .
Never heard of this brand . But I'm also a novice in the equipment world .
Also, this price seems a little too good to be true and I've never heard of " simple tire " either .

Anyone have any experience or knowledge about these tires??

A reliable tire for a backhoe needs to have many more ply ratings that would normally be required . The rubber on the sidewalks and face between the treads also should be thicker .
Traditionally a backhoe is equipped with a type R4 carcass and tread .

I know nothing about Peglas tires.

Their website states that It is a tire designed to be used in center pivot and linear irrigation systems. Its special tread pattern and width
provide low soil compaction, which increases efficiency by protecting crops.

I see a lot of backhoes with industrial tires (rather than agricultural tires).

A backhoe is carrying thousands of pounds of extra weight on the rear compared to a tractor even with maximum load on the 3pt. You need an "industrial" tire, referred to as an R4 type.

These are 12-14 ply rated.

580 Case backhoe from the 70's will work just fien on rear tractor tires in the 8 ply rating. Dad had a freidn that did that and had them on there till he got rid of the hoe many years later and still on there then. depending on the weight of the hoe I would put rear tractor tires on a hoe just not cheap pivot tires like those apparently are. With a good name brand tire I would not be afraid of doing it. If I had to run one everyday for a living maybe would consider something different but for a farm hoe with limited use or weekend use go for it.

There was an older gentleman hurt badly many years ago in my town due to 'bouncy' overloaded hoe tire. Roading it from on job to another, down a big hill, got to going too fast and the weak rear tires bounced so badly he lost control. Didn't end well.

Simple Tire is usually higher than some of the others. Tires-easy.com has had better prices lately. Your tires should be 16.9x24. Hope you can trade wheels with someone if they're 14-s. You want the R4 tread pattern. 8ply is about as light as you want to go. The tires you posted are R1 tread. Much less rubber than an R4, hence their lower price. BKT or Titan is a good brand. If you're locked into 14-s you might want to consider moving up to a 12ply. BKT has a 12ply 14.9. Theres' not much in between 8 and 12 in a 14.9.

Using a mirror ,I was able to identify the tires from the back side today .
Only because the good texas sun hadn't baked off the side wall on the inside .
They are indeed, 16.9x24 R4 8 ply .
Since that's what was on it ( probably since new) this is exactly what I'll be ordering .
Thanks for all the replies, I should have thought to look on the backs a long time ago .

What air pressure do you run in your rear tires?

I have the same tires on my 3550

This old boy aint been back to the forum sence this post he may not see it. I put enough air in the tires of my backhoe (and tractors) that just short of 3 lugs contact the ground. I like to park with 1 lug straight down and one on either side be half engaged. Hope this helps.
