Skidsteer tires

Blew a tire on my Bobcat. Can only afford to put 2 new ones on. Do I put them on the rear? The front? Or both new ones on the same side? Have heard all sorts of responses. I know I should replace all 4, but really cannot afford that at this time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would put them on the same side as in left side or right side since both wheels (both left or both right) are tied together and turn at the same rate. You can run one lever a little faster or slower to compensate for the left-right speed difference.
If you put the new tires both on the front or both on the back, your front tires and back tires will turn at a different rate with no way to compensate for the difference in rate between the tires. This will causes unnecessary stress on the skid steer.

Could you find a good used one that has the same amount of wear or tread depth as what you have on your other tires? I have done that in the past when funds were tight.

same side or you will spend lots more than 2 more matching tires. break that drive chain n it can destroy several goods that aint cheep or easy to fix

I would guess if you were to just put all of them on within a few short months it would not make much difference. Like said if chain connected then probably on one side.If not then I would probably put them on the front since the weight is there remember the spider gears will also be working with them on one side in the differential. I think it would be kind of a toss up if you are going to change the rest in a short time.

Thanks for all your help. Think I will go with 2 for now. Try to sell the 3 good used ones, and replace the other 2.
