Recreation of a farmyard scene of the 1950's with the steam engine driving the threshing drum and baler with the Ferguson TE20 on trailer duty waiting for the sheave of corn to be unloaded into the drum.

I don't understand that pic.

As a kid, I was around threshing crews annually, including operations where the machine was powered by a steam engine, and I never saw bales like that being used. SOP was to bring bundles loaded on hayracks to the machine.
 
The U shaped bundle wagon is behind the Ferguson. The bundles got pitched to the top of the machine & hand fed. There might be a baler behind the thresher or the bales were provided for seating.

Not impossible that there would be a baler attached to the back of he thresher. I've seen a few of those setups.
