Struck the holy grail of Kubota,s today not one but two L245 HC. These little one row tractors are getting very hard to come by. Found a guy today that had two that are one owner , both started and ran on the tractor with good rubber. Made my day

I was just wondering today if you were still alive. I didn't remember seeing you post lately.

R this site got so that ever one was biting everones back , just drop by and read ever now and then but not much posting, I am not into that backbiting thing

About 20 years ago I bought a L245SS with a loader, although it may have been a DT,instead of an SS.The owner said he went to top off the radiator,it had a hole in it from a branch. He wanted to fix it so he put a pressure tester on it and pumped it up.He heard a pop and the water came out of the dipstick.Never tried to start it after that, and I bought it.In the timing chest,in the front of the block a freeze plug had popped out.It was laying on top of a timing gear.By being smart enough to not turn it over he saved it.He told me it needed a clutch too,so I sent that out and had it done while the rest of the tractor was apart.I remember it cost me $550.from Fort Wayne Clutch to get it done.Mine was 4 wheel drive,it was a sweet little loader tractor.

I know exactly what you mean Jerry. For two years I just stayed on the Oliver forum. I still haven't gone back to Tales and probably won't. I tried once or twice, but just being there usually ruined my day. Some days, even the stuff on Talk is too much, but most of the garbage seems to stay over there. I'm just SO tired of little boys crying wolf. I've got a life.

Well said I just got tired of folks worried about beating up on ever one. I am a live and love type guy that worries about very little. I guess being 80 years old has made a tough old dude out of me. Have never met but about three from that site and all were or are great guys. Had a guy on there from Michigan and he retired and lives right here 2 miles from me . Sold a guy again from Michigan a snow blower he drove down and got it and Met George as he went thru to Florida. Seems like the more I try to slow down the more calls and work I get into./

We're going to try to make it down to Dale Hollow Lake the first week of October for the Roller Coaster Yard Sale. I need to get ahold of Lee Little. We always get together with him and Karen when we're down there. If you want to get together, let me know. You can look it up on the net and see a map of how far west it goes.

I haven't heard from you in a while.
How are you doing?
Still collecting Kubotas I see.
Did you know Menards sells CCA 2x6?
I bought these to repair my implement trailer..

George I stopped on the way in each 2X8 20 ft long in your treated was $32.0-0 got enough to re floor it. Trailer less than 5 years old but sure did not last. I thought about sawing popular BUT BUYING WAS FASTER.

Did you get CCA or AC2?
CCA is special order at Menards.
I think Menards owns the place that makes treated boards.
My AC2 boards lasted about 11 years..

I have three old Kubotas: L185DT, L245DT and and L295DT. They are all good tractors and relatively trouble free. My dad and I bought the 245 new in September 1977.

Awesome. Nice tractors. I'm a big Kubota fan and own some new ones. I was looking for an old 70's Kubota for a show piece but every one that has come up for sale around here in Ontario Canada was pretty trashed.
