'47 John Deere B oil filter cap stuck

I'm working on my late grandpa's 1947 John Deere B trying to get it running. It is loose but has not started in 8 or 9 years. I am trying to get the engine oil filter out, the bolt is loose and will spin out but the cap is stuck on there. I have tried to twist it off with some big pliers but even that won't do anything.
Any and all advice offered is very well appreciated!

I think it is just a rubber gasket that is stuck, Probably have to put enough forse on
the cap to tear the rubber gasket and when get the cap off clean the mounting area very
well. My B was a 49 model.

I had what seemed to be one gasket put in on an existing one left in there. Both very hard. Some penetrating oil or brake cleaner might help if your cap is stuck to the gasket, or even has some rust up there, if the tapping does not succeed first.

I tend to bump things like that with a 2x4 lightly with the 2x4 endways it seems to not make jams and dents or bend things and still get them loose.

I got the cap off last night thanks to you guys, I sprayed it with a bunch of penetrating spray and let that soak in and twisted it off, thank you guys.
