The other wheel is off!

Yes, they may look unstable but it actually is very stable and supported the tractor while it was off balance due to a wheel missing.

This is the home-built puller we used to get the hub clamp off. We put a 20 ton jack against the end of the axle and used it to pull the clamp off.

Another pic off the puller.

How much the steel plate bent under the force of the jack before the clamp came off. we were starting to get concerned over the bend when it popped of.

The wheel.

Both wheels leaning against our shed.

Evidence there is a seal to replace.

I would still do the tire work with the wheels on the tractor. Yes the seal is probably in need of changing along with maybe the bearings as if oil got out water may have gotten in.

There's is no seal on the outside. You
have to remove the back cover and then the
bull gears and then the axles to get to
the seals. They are located in the inside
of the axle. Check rear end oil level
cause is it's over full it will ooze out.

Yes good work. For your information if you straighten that bar and then weld a 1/2 x2 inch piece to the back side it will probably not bend again doing that in the future. IF you could put a bit of heat to the hub it would also probably not bend either.

I needed a puller like that recently to pull the hub off the bottom of the gearbox on our
brushcutter! I had to split it with a grinder, pull it off, and weld it back together. Seems to be
fine now, have used it over 10 hours since repair.

You're from Bemidji right? If you ever need to borrow it or my other puller, just let me know.
